Abstract
Objective: The authors have performed the clinical study on phase contrast microscope is use for patient education, through examining morphological shape, amounts or motile of the oral micro-organisms. But it is hard to distinguish out clearly, for many species of oral micro-organisms in detail, even though it has such merits as the simple manipulation and observation with alive state.

Materials and Method : 107 volunteers who visited a dental clinic were selected for examining the oral micro-organisms by collecting the plaque sample from the proximal area of the lower posterior portion. Image analysis was performed through the recording on the monitor.

Results and Conclusion : Pearson¡¯s Co-relation coefficient between the age and the amount was estimated as weak(p<0.05) in Cocci, Bacilli and Comma / Spiral typed oral micro-organism. A little bit more relation(p<0.05) on Cocci(r=0.295) in child and adolescent group otherwise, more relation(p<0.05) Cocci(r=0.339), Bacilli(r=0.310) and Comma / Spiral(r=0.319) in adult to senile group. Co-relation coefficient between the age and the motile was estimated as no relation for all types of oral micro-organism. On the other hands, bit negative relation(r=-0.277) was seen on Bacilli in child and adolescent group otherwise, very week relation(p<0.01) on Bacilli(r=0.238) and Comma / Spiral(r=0.225) typed micro-organism.
